Residential Property Ownership Dispute

Our team secured recognition of our client’s ownership of a residential property after a lengthy dispute with heirs and former partners, supported by precise property evidence and a comprehensive legal rebuttal of the claims.

Case Details:

This matter arose from a dispute between our client and several parties over the ownership of a residential property in a prominent area of Doha. One party brought a claim seeking to invalidate an earlier sale agreement, alleging that it failed to satisfy the legal requirements and conflicted with the rights of other heirs.

Our legal team analysed the sale agreement and verified that it had been duly authenticated and registered. We gathered the evidence supporting our client’s position, including property-registration records, official statements, and witness testimony. We also engaged an accredited real-estate expert to provide a legal assessment of the agreement’s validity and the lawful disposition of the disputed property.

During the hearings, we focused on:

  • Establishing the validity and registration of the agreement under Qatar’s Real Estate Registration Law

  • Demonstrating good faith in the disposition of the property

  • Establishing that no dispute or legal claim existed before the date of sale

We successfully rebutted the claimant’s arguments and exposed clear inconsistencies in the allegations. A final judgment dismissed the claim and confirmed our client’s right to deal with the property. The claimant was also ordered to pay the court fees and reimburse part of the legal costs.

This matter highlights the importance of obtaining legal advice before entering into property transactions and the role of specialized legal representation in protecting the property rights of individuals and companies.
